Colour for the Smoke

One thing i didn't quite cover well was how to colour the smoke to a better standard. so here are some screen shots to help explain it better.

Basically the best thing to do is play around with the Incandescence settings.

The colour ramp bar is the best way to get more than one colour mixed to create the desired effect.

Once you select the required colours, you will need to play with the input bias slider. This allows you to change how much each colour is shown within the composition. in the pictures on the left you can see that i have put the slider in the positive numbers. This means that the colour will mostly consist of the colour furthest to the right of the ramp box. If in the negative numbers it will be made up of mainly the colour on the left of the ramp.

By adding extra shades or different colours completely we can really refine the colour of the smoke and create the desired effect.

This shot, is how i've left my smoke. I feel it looks realistic and looks like smoke you may see on wreckage.
